Prague Will Host the ICU European Cheerleading Championships Again in 2026
Prague, May 28, 2025 — The Czech Cheerleading Association proudly announces that the Czech Republic will host the ICU European Cheerleading Championships 2026 Prague, taking place from July 3–5, 2026, at the Fortuna Sports Hall in the Prague Exhibition Grounds (Výstaviště Praha).
This prestigious international competition will welcome more than 4,000 athletes from across Europe and over 3,000 spectators to Prague.
The Czech Republic was awarded the hosting rights after winning a competitive bidding process involving prominent cheerleading federations from across Europe. The Czech Cheerleading Association previously organized successful European Championships in 2012 and 2017, both of which received positive feedback from the professional community and general public alike. Regaining the hosting rights confirms the long-standing professionalism and the trust international bodies place in the organizational capabilities of the Czech side.
"Being awarded the hosting of the European Championship is a great honor for our organization and a confirmation of the quality that Czech cheerleading represents on the international stage. We believe Prague will offer excellent facilities for both athletes and fans and will support the further development of our sport," said the President of the Czech Cheerleading Association.
The event will take place at the Fortuna Sports Hall at the Exhibition Grounds, which will provide ample space for this major international event. Organizers expect thousands of visitors and extensive media coverage across the European sports landscape.

Praha bude v roce 2026 opět hostit Mistrovství Evropy v cheerleadingu
Praha, 28. května 2025 — Česká asociace cheerleaders s hrdostí oznamuje, že Česká republika bude hostit ICU European Cheerleading Championships 2026 Prague, které se uskuteční ve dnech 3.–5. července 2026 v areálu Výstaviště Praha, ve sportovní hale Fortuna.
Tato prestižní mezinárodní soutěž přivítá v Praze více než 4 000 sportovců z celé Evropy a více než 3 000 diváků.
Pořádání evropského šampionátu bylo České republice svěřeno na základě vítězství ve výběrovém řízení, kterého se zúčastnily významné cheerleadingové federace z celé Evropy. Česká asociace cheerleaders již dříve úspěšně organizovala Mistrovství Evropy v roce 2012 a 2017, obě akce se setkaly s pozitivním ohlasem odborné i laické veřejnosti. Opětovné získání pořadatelství tak potvrzuje dlouhodobou profesionalitu a důvěru mezinárodních struktur v organizační schopnosti české strany.
„Získání pořadatelství Mistrovství Evropy je pro naši organizaci velkou ctí a potvrzením kvality, kterou český cheerleading na mezinárodní scéně představuje. Věříme, že Praha nabídne skvělé zázemí jak sportovcům, tak fanouškům a podpoří další rozvoj našeho sportu," uvedla prezidentka České asociace cheerleaders.
Akce se bude konat ve sportovní hale Fortuna na Výstavišti, která poskytne dostatečný prostor pro tuto velkou mezinárodní akci. Organizátoři očekávají tisíce návštěvníků a širokou mediální pozornost napříč evropským sportovním prostorem.
