Dear Athletes and Coaches,

Here is everything you need to know before arriving at O2 universum for ICU European Cheerleading Championships 2026 Prague.

1. GETTING TO THE VENUE

O2 universum is well connected, so you'll have plenty of easy ways to reach us.

By Metro

Line B → Českomoravská station, then a short walk to O2 universum.

By Tram
  • Aréna Libeň jih (lines 7, 8) — right in front of the O2 universum entrance

  • Poliklinika Vysočany (lines 12, 31) — a short walk to the venue

By Bus
  • Nádraží Libeň (lines 136, 177, 195)

  • Českomoravská (lines 151, 152, 375)

By Train

Praha-Vysočany or Praha-Libeň — both within walking distance of the venue.

💡 Tip: Prague's public transport is among the most convenient in the world. Use the PID Lítačka app to plan your route and buy tickets, or Google Maps to map it out.

By Car

There's a parking garage on Lisabonská, 190 00 Praha 9 (entrance from Českomoravská 1181/21). Drive along Českomoravská Street to house number 1181/21, turn onto Lisabonská Street, then take the first exit at the roundabout — the garage is just a few minutes' walk from the venue.

If it's full, there's alternative parking at STAGES HOTEL Prague and Galerie Harfa shopping centre.

By Team Bus

Team buses can pull up next to the arena for a quick hop-off/hop-on — up to 15 minutes, free of charge — via the blue line, entrance from Českomoravská Street.

2. INFO POINTS FOR TEAMS & COACHES

Throughout the event, we'll have dedicated points where coaches can pick up everything their team needs.

  • Thursday, 2 July: Team Material Pick-Up Point, coaches collect team material, at Hotel Stages

  • Friday–Sunday, 3–5 July: Teams Check-in desk, checking in before competing, in front of the Athletes Entrance

Team Material Pick-Up Point — Hotel Stages

Thursday, 2 July, 11:00–17:00

This is your one-stop shop before the competition begins. Coaches collect following items on behalf of their athletes:

  • Accreditation packages

  • Pre-ordered meal package tickets

  • Merchandise pre-orders — please bring your order receipt, and a few extra hands if your order is large

Can't make it on Thursday? No problem — email info@icueuropeans2026.com by 30 June with your estimated arrival time, and we'll sort it out with you.

3. TEAM JOURNEY ON COMPETITION DAYS

Your team's journey on competition day has 4 stages: Venue Entry → Warm-Up Process → Performance Process → After the Performance.

Stage 1: Venue Entry

  • Arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled ID Check, and no later than 20 minutes before.

  • Example: ID Check at 09:00 → arrive by 08:15.

  • This gives time for security screening, preparation in the standby area, and stretching.

  • Report to the Teams Check-in desk at the Athletes Entrance — this is your team's first stop, where staff confirm your arrival and direct you to the warm-up area.

Entourage & Coaches

  • Maximum 5 coaches/entourage members per team for the full warm-up and performance process.

  • All accompanying persons must be pre-registered with the team.

  • One coach or entourage member must be at the music table to start the music with the sound engineer. Music files must be uploaded by coaches in advance (form for upload coming soon).

Security gate Every team must pass through the security gate before entering the warm-up area. A list of restricted items will be shared in a separate communication.

Stage 2: Warm-Up Process

Warm-Up Standby Area — this is your team's base before you go on. After passing security, you'll be directed here to finalise preparations, run team rituals, and settle in before warm-up begins.

  • Changing cabins available for uniform changes.

  • No lockers — place belongings inside the storage boxes provided. Staff will move these to the end of the warm-up zone for you.

  • Glitter must be applied outdoors only.

Stretching (optional, 15 minutes before ID Check) — cheer mats are set up here so your team can stretch and warm up before heading to ID Check.

ID Check — this is where your team's identity and registration are verified before you're allowed into the competition areas.

  • Line up in order by surname.

  • Each athlete needs ID or passport open to the photo page. Coaches may hold all team IDs.

  • Anyone accompanying the team beyond the registered limit will not be permitted through from this point.

  • A piercing check follows immediately after ID Check — prepare athletes in advance.

Tumbling Warm-Up — 8 minutes — a dedicated 8-minute slot for your team to warm up tumbling skills before your run-through.

  • Lower ceiling area.

  • 2× 12×2m mats: cheer mat for Cheer, marley floor for Performance Cheer.

  • Plan your warm-up content for this space.

Run-Through — 8 minutes — your team's full rehearsal on the actual competition floor, with music.

  • Full competition floor (16m wide × 14m deep).

  • Ceiling height 6.6m.

  • Music playback available.

Note: Professional recording is not permitted anywhere in the warm-up area.

Stage 3: Performance Process

This is your team's time on stage — from leaving the run-through to walking off after your routine.

  1. After your run-through, collect your bags and go downstairs to Stage Standby — the waiting area right before you go on. Water and restrooms available while you wait.

  2. Place your belongings in the designated area — they'll be returned to you backstage afterwards.

  3. Enter the stage from the centre of the floor; exit to the left back corner.

Stage 4: After the Performance

  1. Once backstage, you'll have time to freshen up and collect your belongings.

  2. Move one level up to Video Replay — a viewing point where you can watch your performance.

  3. Continue to the Reunion Point — this is where your athlete area journey ends and you meet up with family and fans, located where the athlete-restricted area meets the public area. Expect to meet them here 10–15 minutes after your performance.

Back-to-back performances: If you have a short gap between performances, contact tone@cheerunion.org in advance so we can arrange a solution.

📸 Photoplace (Floor 2, near main entrance): Capture the moment! Strike a pose at our branded photo wall, get a print of your performance to take home, or grab a group shot with your team and family. Professional video of your routine will also be available to order — details coming soon!

4. SPOTTERS

  • The organiser does not provide spotters.

  • Teams may bring up to 5 spotters, who may accompany the team through the full warm-up and performance process.

  • Spotters must:

    • Be athletes aged 18 or older

    • Wear no jewellery

    • Be dressed differently from the competing athletes

Requirements: ICU Europe Rulebook, page 23, Section 111.

5. STAGE & FLOOR SPECIFICATIONS

Teams enter the stage from the centre of the floor and exit to the left back corner.

  • Reminder: one coach/entourage member must be at the music table to start the music with the sound engineer.

6. ACCESSIBILITY

Barrier-free access is available throughout the venue for athletes performing or watching.

If you need barrier-free access, contact info@icueuropeans2026.com in advance so we can arrange the best support.

7. HEALTH & SAFETY

Athletes may be selected for doping testing during the event. If you're using any medication on WADA's Prohibited List, please follow the Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) procedure in advance to ensure everything's in order.

Our first-aid partner, Sosan, will be on site from Friday to Sunday, present in both the warm-up and competition areas should you need any support.

8. WATCHING THE COMPETITION

Athletes outside their own session

Accredited athletes may enter the arena via the main spectator entrance outside their own competition session — subject to capacity. If the venue is full, entry may be limited or denied even with valid accreditation. Admission outside your own session cannot be guaranteed.

Athlete Views

Fan View

  • Located right in front of the stage; entrance from Floor 1, behind the stairs, with its own waiting area downstairs.

  • Open to participants only (not general spectators).
